*Drumroll*
Gambia!!!
This was concluded when the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) held a Jollof Rice Competiton as part of activities marking the Jollof Festival over the weekend.
Nigeria came in second and Ghana third.
Before you jump into the comments section to insult this post, you should know that Guardian Life was not on the panel of judges.

Feel free to have a talk with the GTA though.
Jollof, although originally from a Senegambian region, jollof has spread across countries in West Africa, and is now the best known African dish in the world.
This dish has been the result of a lot of arguments, and competitions never seem to help put the unending debate at rest.
So when the results of this competition were released, people were not having it. I mean, look at the food that won.

There is a whole carrot, half a lime, a whole garden egg, something that looks like necrotic placenta and is that...pawpaw?? Nah who voted?

Can the people who voted for this jollof to win please step up.
Same people that voted buhari and trump

Or could it have been a mistake? Could this be something else, not jollof?
This is not jollof rice, this is a case of mistaken identity. This is glorified "ekuru" my brother.

— Nanashi No Gombe (@unreadcharlatan) August 29, 2017
If you offer this nonsense as sacrifice at any junction, the god will strike you dead immediately. Paw paw, lime and garden egg in rice 😷

What are your thoughts? Could it be that Gambia actually has the best jollof rice in West Africa? Or was there "ojoro" (cheating) somewhere during the competition?
