Brethren, there is no debating whether heaven exists or not. Every believer and even the wicked accept the existence of a superior spiritual abode for the righteous, and all agreed that the godly and ungodly in this world couldn’t inhabit the same spiritual abode after death. Heaven being where God, His angels and the righteous live is assumed to be a place of rest and comfort. The wise does everything possible to ensure he secures a place there.
Hebrew 10:34 states, “For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.”
Paul the Apostle told those who ministered to his need that they deprived themselves all those things they used in ministering to him, because they were assured that such goodwill laid up for them a better inheritance in heaven. Of course, a place in heaven gives more enduring comfort. The treasure laid up there is worth more than all the world’s wealth. It gives more solid peace and comfort and will do more on the whole to make a man happy. The treasure of the earth perishes and vanishes, but in heaven, all is permanent and secured. No war, pestilence or famine; no failure of a bank; no fraud and swindlers, no robbery and above all, no death ever comes there to remove Heaven’s inhabitants from their mansions.
This was the assurance, which the Hebrew brethren had, as they ministered to Paul, and it ought to be the guarantee of all Christians, because they are expected to see their earthly wealth as flower that blossoms and suddenly withers.
Mathew 6:9 says, “After this manner therefore pray ye, our father which art in heaven hallow be thy name” And Mathew 5: 34 states, “but I say unto you, swear not at all, neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne”
The above verses confirm that heaven is the abode and throne of God and He resides there. It is also a place and abode of the righteous. In heaven, multitude of saints and angels praise the Lord continuously, and there is unspeakable joy. So, everybody, including sinners, desire to enter heaven, not minding whether they will eventually make it or not. Nevertheless, as they desire to enter therein, it is certain that sinners cannot make it, except they repent, for they cannot enter the kingdom of God, if they fail to give their lives to Jesus Christ. So, compromisers, backsliders, religious people that go to church and are not mindful of God’s Word nor do His will, will not make it.
1Corinthians 6:9-10 says, “know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God, be not deceivers neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind 10: nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”
Heaven or the Kingdom of God is not meant for the unrighteous. Although sinners and backsliders may wish to make it, but I want to let you know that it is not everybody that will eventually make it. Although our Father in Heaven has prepared it for all His true children, but He abhors iniquity, thus will not allow the unrighteous to inherit it.
Therefore, it is necessary for us to have a view of heaven through this message and do those things, which will enable us, make heaven at last. If one sees how good a thing is, he will desire to have it, by doing the needful. He will do whatever he is asked to do in order to have it. So, the essence of this message is to let people have good understanding of heaven and how it looks like. This is because, if you do not know what heaven looks like, you may not desire it. You may even erroneously be comparing it to your house, company, or countries such as American, Britain, China, etc. Beloved, heaven is beautiful and is incomparable to anything on earth.
