Someone recently posted a video on Twitter where a woman, who had left her husband for a week, came home and met maggots in their home. He had not done the dishes since she left the house.
Be mindful though, it's quite a disgusting video so don't watch it while eating.
The wife traveled for just one week only to come back to meet the whole house messed up by the husband... pic.twitter.com/FoT2CwTiVc

This video has evoked different opinions from men and women alike.
Some people insulted the man and called him a pig.
When u tell them cooking, washing & keeping d house tidy are basic survival skills not peculiar to the female gender alone, they won't agree.

If you don't wash plates in your own house for a week, it's indicative of a mental problem and nobody should be in a marriage with you. https://t.co/gHJSBHzsUV

So y'all were posting that video of the adopted toddler who called himself a husband who didn't clean for a week cause his mum wasn't home.

Others insulted the woman for putting the video on social media.

If I don't wash plates at home for a week while my wife is away & she put a video of it on Social media,I'm ending the marriage immediately

But did she really intend for the video to be shared on social media?
Personally, I'd say she sent that video to a friend of family. And they posted it online.

Some believed that she knew who she married, so she didn't need to act surprised.
You knew this guy couldn't wash plates during your pre-marital stages you no record then, it's now that you're shaming your husband

Some women said they would leave their husband if he tried that.
Maggots?! Don't pass go. Don't collect $200. Head straight to...😖 pic.twitter.com/udbleegBnP

Gbam! And if she cannot stay, she should leave. Are we supposed to shame the man and make him into an ideal husband for her?
— Somi (@SomiEkhasomhi) August 24, 2017
Some told the woman to clean up, feeling that it was her duty.
Your husband is dirty, cool. Posting it online? Bullshit. Clean the damn kitchen and talk to your husband about it.

And there were others...
Nigerian women, hope if you burn rice or soup you cook gets spoilt, your husband can shame you on social media for it without repercussions.

She's the fool. Ive watched the video twice and here's my deduction - the man never meant to leave those plates unwashed

Sis, u gotta throw the whole husband away https://t.co/Uj4DKnp28d

What are your thoughts? Whose duty is it to ensure that the house is always clean and tidy? Who is at fault: the "pig" or his wife who took the matter outside their home?
